The Classroom
Our classroom sessions are the first step in learning to dive. Classroom begins at home with a training DVD and a textbook. You will find this an enjoyable learning experience at your own pace in your environment. There are five simple chapters that have knowledge reviews which need to be filled out prior to class. The DVD provides a visual to go along with the book to assist in your learning. There are interesting facts about pressure, sea life and skills that you will use in the confined water sessions as well as what you can expect to see and do on your dive travels. Then once you are in the actual class room, you will find a comfortable environment to share with your class mates as you share what you have learned with other students. There will be typically 2 classroom sessions each followed by a confined water session.

What do I need?
All you need is a PADI Open Water crew pack, a PADI Open Water DVD(the course costs includes these items), a swimsuit and towel (please provide these personal items)!

How long will it take?
PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you. Most students are certified divers in two weekends!

The Pool Here you will learn to dive. Our highly qualified instructors and dive masters will assist you in learning about the underwater world. We teach by PADI guidelines. We teach you about different types of equipment and how you can use it as well as skills you will be able to use in your open water travels. All these skills require mastery in the confined water sessions so that you can demonstrate them efficiently in your open water check out dives. You will experience a whole new world of fun while in the pool such as learning how to float effortlessly in mid water much like the astronaut floats in space. We provide year round training in the indoor heated pool so training can be done at your convenience. Training time is typically done in a weekend. GET INTO THE BLUE! The Open Water Checkout Dive
Now is the time to show your stuff. Take pleasure in applying the skills learned in the pool sessions out in the open water environment. See what the underwater world is really like as you experience the depths of the open water locations we travel to with our qualified instructors. Or, take the opportunity to refer your open water skills with another PADI dive shop in one of the exciting destinations you would like to travel to. Once done, these skills will remain with you for the rest of your life as well as the experiences you will obtain in the open water world. How can you top that? Well continue the adventure by exploring into the Advance diver programs or perhaps a specialty course that will suit your needs such as underwater digital photography, underwater hunter or perhaps wreck diving. Your open water experience is usually done on one weekend.
